We can choose to look at life with rose tinted glasses, with ethereal optimism optimism, but the thing is it will always be a choice. One we would have to make intentionally. Looking at life optimally does not mean we never expect disappointments, detours et al, but it means even in those circumstances, we are able to maintain a state of hope instead of despair. Through Flushed the artist wants to remind us how everything in life does not have to be taken seriously. We are here to play, have fun and joy in the mundane, and that is what we should do, every single day.
